ARTICLE I:
MEMBERSHIP.
SECTION 1, QUALIFICATIONS. Any
person, eighteen (18) years of age or older, who confesses faith in, and
has received the Lord Jesus Christ, who has the assurance of salvation,
and whose character, conduct, and reputation is in accord with his/her
confession, who subscribes to the foregoing Statement of Faith, who accepts
the Constitution and Bylaws of this organization, and who is willing to
support the Church in attendance (both Sunday worship and midweek home
group fellowships), prayers, material means, and the exercise of spiritual
gifts, may apply to become a member of this organization, hereafter referred
to as the Church.
SECTION 2, MEMBERSHIP PROCEDURE.
SECTION 3, LIFESTYLE.
SECTION 4, ABSENCE.
Any member, absent more than six months, from whom no communication has been received, may be dropped from the membership by the Church Secretary (See Article III, Section 6, A. 1. c.) upon approval of the Elders.
SECTION 5, WITHDRAWAL. Any member who wishes to withdraw from membership in the Church shall so inform the Elders in writing.
SECTION 6, DISCIPLINE. Any person who becomes a member of the church is voluntarily agreeing to submit to the discipline procedures outlined in Appendix C.
SECTION 7, PROPERTY RIGHTS.
ARTICLE II:
ORDINANCES OF THE CHURCH.
SECTION 1, COMMUNION. The Lord's Supper shall be practiced regularly as established by the Board of Elders. It shall be open to all believers who profess saving faith in Jesus Christ and who are walking in fellowship with Him. A period of personal self-examination before the Lord and confession of personal sin shall precede participation in the Lord's Supper. (I Corinthians 11:27-30, I John 1:19)
SECTION 2, BAPTISM. Believers baptism by immersion is the only mode of baptism practiced by this Church body. Exception due to physical disability will be considered by the Board of Elders.
ARTICLE III:
LEADERSHIP.
SECTION 1, ELDERS.
SECTION 2, CHURCH CHAIRMAN. The Church Chairman shall be an Elder, shall be elected by the members in accordance with Appendix B, shall preside at all business meetings, and shall have such additional responsibilities as may be delegated by the Elders. If the Church Chairman is not available to preside at a business meeting, the Elders shall appoint another Elder to serve as Chairman of the meeting. The Church Chairman shall serve as Chairman of the Elders. He shall be an ex officio member of all Church ministries. A paid employee of the Church may not serve as Chairman.
SECTION 3, PASTORAL STAFF.
SECTION 4, MINISTRY LEADERS.
SECTION 5, ADJUNCT AND OPERATIONAL STAFF.
SECTION 6, OFFICERS AND TRUSTEES.
SECTION 7, ELIGIBILITY. All Elders, Officers, and Ministry Leaders must be members of the Church. All positions of leadership and authority within the Church shall be literally subject to the scriptural guidance of I Timothy 2:12. The gender role distinctions established by this passage shall apply to Ministry Leaders, Adjunct Staff, all adult teaching positions and ministries, and positions of authority within the Church.
SECTION 8, NEW MINISTRIES WITHIN THE CHURCH. In order for a new ministry to be considered a part of the Church, the following conditions must be met:

SECTION 1, BUSINESS MEETINGS.
SECTION 2, NOTICE.
SECTION 3, QUORUM. Twenty-five percent (25%) of the active Church membership in attendance at any duly called business meeting shall constitute a quorum for the transacting of the business of the meeting.
SECTION 4, VOTING.
ARTICLE V:
FINANCE.
SECTION 1, ANNUAL BUDGET. At the business meeting prior to the beginning of the next fiscal year, the members shall adopt a budget for the next fiscal year, and this section shall constitute sufficient notice of that action. Approval of the budget shall constitute authority for the expenditure of funds in the amounts and for the purposes stated in the budget. The fiscal year shall begin January 1.
SECTION 2, QUALITY ASSURANCE. Financial procedures and records shall be reviewed and evaluated at least once every three years by a certified public accounting firm designated by the Board of Elders. The Board of Elders will determine the scope of the review. At a minimum, this review will include an evaluation of the Church's internal financial controls.
SECTION 3, PURCHASE OR DISPOSITION OF PROPERTY. The Trustees shall have authority to purchase real and personal property for the Church and to sell, mortgage, lease or otherwise convey or dispose of any real or personal property of the Church. Any such transaction involving property with an aggregate fair market value in excess of $50,000 will require prior approval by two-thirds majority vote of the members voting at a business meeting.
ARTICLE VI:
AMENDMENTS
These Bylaws may be amended or altered by a two-thirds majority vote of the members voting at any regular business meeting of the Church, provided that notice has been given as required in these Bylaws.
